As a registered nurse, I created LightBridge Hospice to help patients and their families move through the last stages of life with grace, strength, hope and comfort. I have learned through my work that Hospice is really about living. At LightBridge, we believe that each day can be filled with comfort, peace of mind and precious moments that can be transformed into memories to be treasured. We are here to help make this possible. We will assist you with all of your individual needs and support the loved ones around you so that you might have more time to discover the joy and intimacy that comes from living life to its fullest.
I am blessed to work with an incredible team of skilled professionals and volunteers who are fully committed to this purpose and dedicated to providing a personalized program of care and support for each patient and family we are privileged to serve. Although facing a life-limiting illness is never easy, we are truly honored to walk this very important journey with you.
Jill Mendlen, RN
These three words embody the LightBridge experience. At LightBridge Hospice & Palliative Care, we bring grace to our patients through the loving care we provide; we strengthen our patients and their families by tending to their emotional and spiritual needs; and because of our comprehensive hospice care, we are able to bring a measure of hope... the hope that comes from knowing that their needs will be met, preferences will be honored and they don't have to walk this journey alone or uninformed.
The final days of life are filled with priceless moments that can be transformed into memories to be forever treasured. For some families, this can also be a stressful time. LightBridge Hospice & Palliative Care knows how you feel… our dedicated team will create an atmosphere of comfort, respect and confidence that leads to peace of mind. It is a privilege for us to walk with you on this journey. Leave the caretaking to us and rediscover the happiness that comes from living life to the fullest so you can unwrap the gift of time... and celebrate life.

The non-profit LightBridge Hospice Community Foundation strives to bring peace, comfort and support to patients and their families by funding programs and services that enhance the end-of-life journey. For example, "Simple Gifts" provides small grants to fulfill end-of-life wishes and dreams of hospice patients. Recent gifts include a legacy garden, Kindle, Chargers sweatshirt, long distance calling card and Big Mac-a-Day meals. Another program finances integrative therapies such as aromatherapy, healing touch, music, and pet therapy. The foundation also hosts an annual "Remembrance Walk" to honor loved ones lost.
